Superman vs. Batman
Batman
Batarang-   A batarang won’t do much to the man of steel if bullets bounce off his chest.
Smoke Pellets-   Superman is the one with X-ray vision, not Batman.   Smoke pellets actually give Batman a negative point.
Green K Ring-   Given to Batman from Superman, this ring has a small bit of Kryptonite that slows Superman’s reflexes and causes Batman’s punches to actually hurt Superman.
Flash Grenades-   These will not cause any damage, but will blind Superman for a short amount of time.
Hypersonics-   Batman has special portable devices that create sound waves at such high frequencies that people can’t here it.   But because of Superman’s ultra-acute hearing, it’s as if someone put an air horn up to his ear.
Red Kryptonite-   Batman performed a series of experiments on Kryptonite to make it less lethal than the original.   What he got was Red Kryptonite, which was half as deadly and twice as painful.

Superman
Superspeed-   While Batman is wearing the Green K Ring, Superman is slowed down.
Superstrength-   Without superspeed, Batman can dodge everyone of Superman’s punches.   Batman is the greatest martial artist alive.
Freezing Breath-   This will keep Batman still for a while until he melts the ice with his acetylene torch.
Powerful Lungs-   Superman could easily blow Batman away, even if Batman used his grapnel.
Heat Vision-   While Batman is wearing his bulletproof, fire-resistant costume, heat vision isn’t going to do much.

The Victor

Now the points will be rewarded:

Batman
Batarang:   0
Smoke Pellets:   -1
Green K Ring:   2
Flash Grenades:   1
Hypersonics:   1
Red Kryptonite:   2

Superman
Superspeed:   0
Superstrength:   0
Freezing Breath:   1
Powerful Lungs:   2
Heat Vision:   0

With a score of 5 to 3, Batman is the winner.   Superman is no match to Batman’s superior fighting skill.   Three cheers to the Dark Knight.

The two greatest super heroes of all time, Batman and Superman, have served as idols to millions of fans.   But in any argument over who is the better of the two, unacceptable reasoning will be used.   For example, while some may say that Batman is better because they think that the new Batman movie is better than any of the Superman movies, others may say that Superman is better because they think that Smallville is better than the old Batman TV series.   Even in the comic books one of them will have the unfair advantage.   Whether it’s an evil clone or mind control, the good guy always wins.   But what if Batman and Superman were not friends and were truly enemies?   What if they hated each other and wanted no more than to defeat the other?   Who then would be the victor?

Backgrounds

After witnessing the murder of his parents by a common mugger, young Bruce Wayne swore to avenge them.   After years of studying criminology, forensics, and criminal psychology and mastering every known fighting style Bruce Wayne became the vigilante known as Batman.   With a utility belt containing an arsenal of crime-fighting gear and the Batcave, which houses training facilities, forensics laboratories, compute databases, and maintenance bays for all of the Bat-vehicles, Batman is Gotham City’s greatest crime fighter and detective.
Kal-El, the last son of Krypton, was only an infant when he was adopted by the Kents in Smallville, Kansas and was named Clark Kent.   As Clark grew older, his body proved to be a veritable solar battery.   He could absorb the sun’s energy, which gave him incredible strength, invulnerability, heightened senses, and the ability to fly.   When Clark Kent went to Metropolis as a mild-mannered journalist, Superman came along to fight for truth, justice, and fair play.

Strengths and weaknesses

Every man has his strengths and weaknesses.   For super heroes, their strengths and weaknesses are what gives them character.   Batman fans are excited when Batman uses his detective skills to get two steps ahead of the Riddler.   Superman fans become worried when Lex Luthor takes out the green Kryptonite.   Before the battle can begin, their strengths and weaknesses must be analyzed.
Along with being the world’s greatest detective and quite possibly the greatest martial artist alive, Batman’s entire costume is filled with crime fighting technology.   The Bat-costume is bulletproof and fire resistant, featuring a weighted cape and a cowl outfitted with night-vision technology and communications arrays.   His utility belt includes various types of offensive Batarangs, de-cel jumplines and grapnels, a micro-camera, smoke pellets, an acetylene torch, a gas mask, a rebreather, flexi-cuffs, and other miniaturized non-lethal weapons.   Batman also carries around some Kryptonite, just in case.   Because Batman is just a mortal man, he has no super powers.   Therefore, he is most vulnerable to super powered attacks.

Superman’s kryptonian physiology absorbs immense energy from Earth’s yellow sun, giving him his supernatural powers.   He has the ability to fly and run at incredible speeds.   He is endowed with superstrength, invulnerability, ultra-acute hearing, freezing breath, immense lung capacity, and a range of vision including X-ray vision and heat vision.   His only weaknesses are kryptonite radiation and magic.   He can also lose his powers from lack of sunlight and staying in red light for long periods of time.

The fight

This fight is based on what Batman and Superman would do in a fight, not what they could do.   Superman could use his superspeed and crush Batman flat, but he wouldn’t.   Batman could shoot Superman with bullets made of Kryptonite, but he wouldn’t.   Also, this is a fair fight, so no robotic armor for Batman and no Kryptonite-proof suite for Superman.   There will be no home field advantage either.   It will not take place in the Batcave or the Fortress of Solitude.   It will be as if it took place in a no-name city without any interference from anyone else.
This is how the battle will work out.   There will be a list of Batman’s gadgets and a list of superman’s abilities.   For each gadget and ability there is the opponent’s reaction and how affective it will be.   For every successful attack made using a gadget or ability, that combatant is rewarded two points.   If a gadget or ability is used to slow down or distract the opponent, only one point is rewarded.
